Pacing in front of the entrance she wondered what it was that was stopping her from going inside. She ran a hand through her hair and glanced down at her outfit. Flara had dressed up for this excursion into Hogsmeade. She was wearing a thigh length black skirt with knee high black boots, a deep red scoop necked t-shirt completed the outfit. She wore her hair down and styled in gentle waves. The only jewelry the woman wore was a silver ring with an emerald on her right ring finger. The band of the ring was formed as a snake with the mouth holding one side of the stone and the tail barely touching the other. She wore very little make-up though, that was nothing too out of the ordinary. It was only for formal affairs that she actually sat and did her make-up. Tonight just a touch of eye liner, blush and lip gloss. With a deep inhale Flara opened the door to the pub and walked inside slowly allowing her eyes to adjust to the dimness of the place. It wasn't dark yet outside so the change in lighting took a moment to get used to. The place still looked about the same as it always had, and she doubted that would change anytime soon. There was something comforting about being in the pub, and she always felt at home when she entered. Looking around Flara smiled at some of the patrons that she recognized from her stint as owner and was pleasantly surprised when the gesture was returned. She made her way over to the bar with no delay and watched as the man she came to see waited on a patron at the opposite end of the bar. Flara was patient and used the time that was spent waiting to decide on what she wanted to drink. As much as she had enjoyed the recommendation Freeman had given on her previous visit Flara did not intend to get too pissed this evening. No, she would probably be a lot better off if she stuck to something not quite as strong, or something that she was more used to drinking. Her gaze traveled the pub again and she felt more calm when she realized there was no one from the school there at the moment. That meant she was free to relax and not have to be an authority figure. Sure she enjoyed being in charge, but every once in awhile it was nice to just unwind and let someone else take care of things.

It had been a busy day for Freeman. In fact, business had been steady for the past few days and between running the day to day aspect of the bar and dealing with Ari, he was feeling pretty haggard. As much as he loved the bar, he found himself longing for a vacation. He knew that he could leave the bar in the hands of his assistant for a few days and everything would be fine but Freeman just couldn't bring himself to actually do it. "Maybe next week," was the common thought in his mind whenever he returned to considering getting away for a bit.
"Maybe next week," the pub owner muttered under his breath as he emerged from the storage room. A crate of butter beer floated before him as he made his weary walk across the bar. With a sigh, the crate set itself down behind the bar and Freeman slowly began to put them away. He ran a hand through his short brown hair, wishing that the end of his shift would come soon. Freeman grimaced as he looked over the clock and realized he had a few more hours left on duty. After completing his task, Freeman stood up and was surprised by what he saw. He hadn't heard the door open and someone enter while he was in the back room and he'd been too caught up in his own world to notice as he came out to put the bottles away. Freeman flushed slightly at the sight of the beautiful woman and was suddenly reminded that he looked horrible. "Oh hell," he said under his breath. To his credit, Freeman recovered quickly. He put on a wide smile and leaned on the bar in front of him. "I wasn't expecting to see you here tonight. What can I get you?" Once again, it was nigh impossible for Freeman to actually take his eyes off of the woman. There was just something about her that thoroughly captivated him. "First round is on me," he added with a small chuckle.

The sound of his voice brought her gaze up and she smiled brightly at him. Just by one look at the man she could tell he had a busy day. She remembered some of those quite fondly. "It was a spur of the moment desicion." Flara said with a slight shrug of her shoulders. "I finished up my paperwork so here I am. I actually wasn't even sure you would be here tonight, but I am happy you are." Her cheeks tinged slightly red at the statement and she turned away. Freeman was the first man the woman had been even slightly interested in for quite some time now, so she still felt a little awkward in his presence.
"Do you happen to have any white sangria?" She asked looking around. Flara had always kept a little bit in stock for herself to enjoy after a long day, but was unsure if he kept it in stock. Not many people had ordered it when she had run the place. "And you look like you could use a drink yourself." She said with a grin in place. Flara studied the man for a moment completely at ease in the situation for a moment. It was thinking of things to say that left her feeling slightly uncomfortable. It was one thing to speak to a colleague or student, but this was a completely different situation. And the woman was feeling a tad bit out of her element. She shook her head slowly and looked back up not wanting to get lost in her thoughts.

With a slight nod, Freeman smiled at the beautiful woman. "White sangria? Good taste. I always keep a bit stocked. You're actually the first to order some since I took over here." He gave Flara a playful wink before going about preparing her drink. it was amazing how much his day had brightened now that she had stopped by. He chuckled as he entertained the notion of trying to convince her to stay until his shift was over. At least then, he'd have good company and conversation to keep his mind from being too bogged down by the troubles and worries of running the tavern. "Oh, you have no idea," Freeman said with a rueful chuckle as he placed the drink on the counter before her. "I've needed a drink for hours now. I've fired two people already this week. It's so hard to find good help." Freeman wiped down the bar a bit. "It's even harder to everything by yourself," he said with a another small chuckle. When Freeman was satisfied that the bar was cleaned he threw the towel down into a small bin with the rest of the dirty towel and wearily walked around and sat on a stool beside the professor. He gave her a small smile as he leaned back, propping his elbows up on the bar. it felt amazing to take a moment and sit down. Freeman had been running around non-stop since he woke that morning without a break. He was certain that it would take every bit of will power he had to make himself get back up but he was going to enjoy this much needed break while it lasted. He waved to a few of his regulars as the exited the tavern. It appeared as if things were actually slowing down and Freeman absent mindedly kncoked on the wooden bar. "So, how have you been?" Freeman asked warmly, looking up at the woman. It was astounding to him that every time he saw her, he could still get lost in her eyes as if it were the very first time they'd met. He likened her to a celestial body whose gravitational pull had him trapped and was pulling him in closer and closer. Freeman wasn't sure that he wanted her to release him. "You certainly look amazing," Freeman blushed slightly at the words. He had only meant to think them but out they came. He chuckled nervously and tried to move passed his out burst. "So, how's the drink?" He asked, quickly changing the subject.

"Thank you, I have always enjoyed it." Flara said with a smile. "Though in this environment I am not surprised to be the first." A laugh escaped her lips as she said this. Flara studied him silently as he got her drink. He did look quite at home in the Hog's Head, and that was something she often wondered about herself. She was sure her customers probably thought her an odd choice for a person to run the place. But she had always been comfortable there.
"Oh trust me I know." Flara said with a sympathetic smile. "It can be quite a challenge at times. But I am sure you can handle it." She raised her glass to her lips and took a sip before glancing down at her lap. At times she missed the Hog's Head. It was more of a challenge then some people may think, but at the same time an interesting environment to be in. "But you know, at times I miss the place." She smiled as she sipped her drink. "It's quite a different environment from Hogwarts." Flara said softly. "But for some it can seem home like I suppose, I know it did for me." Lately Flara had been considering leaving Hogwarts again. She would stay in the area of course, but she just couldn't see herself as a teacher anymore and it wasn't fair to the students for her to teach them when she didn't feel passionate about it anymore.
