"Wouldn't have hurt her when were just friends as children," said Ethan. "Certainly wouldn't hurt her now that I've devoted my life to her. You have my word, sir." He said all this as he held onto his wife. He had to admit that the whole situation was a little surreal. The night had been as normal as any other, yet out of the blue, her father had come back. He was a little suspicious of the man; Andrew had left her and the Order without so much as a goodbye. But now he was back, and it made Ethan wonder if he would ever need to protect Lindsey from getting hurt by him again. Andrew had certainly made sure that Ethan knew he was on notice. He knew he wouldn't hurt Lindsey, but could he say the same for this man, the mysterious founder of TOE? As he hugged Lindsey, Ethan decided that, at least for now, he would give Andrew Langerton the benefit of the doubt. Lindsey seemed so pleased to see him again, after all.
Andrew offered them a second wedding, making Ethan's eyes widen in surprise. It was a kind gesture, to say the least. He remembered their real wedding vividly; it had been small and unusual, yet he wouldn't have had it any other way. He and Lindsey had decided to have a quick, romantic ceremony by themselves at the Ministry. They dressed in their best clothes and eloped in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, the Chief of the Wizard High Court performing the ceremony. They shared their first kiss as husband and wife after Allison Hester declared them bonded for life and immediately left for their honeymoon afterwards.
He unwrapped his arm from Lindsey and used it to lift her chin, their eyes meeting for the first time after she returned his and Andrew's wands. "What do you think?" he said. Smiling ever so slightly, he said, "May I have your hand in marriage one more time?"
