By using the RPG, you are agreeing to these rules and terms of service. Have you ever thought about how fun it would be if Hogwarts School was real? Well, these rules are in place so we can have a fun Hogwarts RPG, and none of the rules are unreasonable. Failure to comply with them can result in disciplinary action, which can include, but is not limited to the following: issued warnings or infractions; removal of privleges; suspension from Rebirth; permanent banishment from Rebirth. Ultimate Hogwarts RPG Rules and Terms of Service

1. DO NOT post anywhere on the RPG Forum until your character application has been approved. Character applications can be posted in the Sorting Ceremony and Staff and Non-Student Applications forums (which are subforums of the Character Applications forum) and require two approvals from different Administrators. Once you have both approvals, you are then free to post on the RPG Forum.

2. This RPG is family-oritented and will remain so. Profanity is limited to what is found in the Harry Potter series (books and films). Words posted in symbols are still considered a violation on Rebirth. In addition to this, don't go overboard on your role plays or other posts; sexually explicit posts and posts that are overly violent will be promptly removed. We are trying to make this RPG enjoyable for all ages.

3. All role play posts are required to be a minimum of eight sentences in length. It's very hard for an experienced role player to reply to a short post. Eight sentences may seem intimidating if you're new to writing, but it's really not that difficult to get into the habit of. Quotes in a role play post (such as song lyrics or a book) must be sourced. Quotes from another character on the forum are not required to be sourced. Either way, quotes do not count toward the eight sentence minimum.

4. Your character can't find nor create magical artifacts. This also means that no character can have an invisibility cloak or time turner. If you have an idea for a role play, please feel free to contact one of the Administrators with your idea. If the role play isn't too insane (and we've seen some insane ones), we may allow the role play to take place.

5. Illegal drugs, murders, and suicides (attempted or otherwise) will not be tolerated. Characters may be murdered sometimes in Rebirth, but this will more than likely be planned by the Administrators to further the plot.

6. Make your characters/posts original. Naturally your character will be good at some things, mediocre at others, and just plain bad at some. All powerful characters make for dull role plays.

7. In addition to Rule #6, making your characters and posts original includes not plagiarizing other characters/posts from online RPGs, whether it's a character/post from Rebirth, or a character/post from a RPG far away from us. We have had this happen to some of our members, and it's very irritating when it does happen. If you're caught plagiarizing a character, you will be asked to come upn with your own character. If you are caught plagiarizing a post, your post will be deleted. If you continue to plagiarizing, the Administrators will take action, which could include any of the following: issued warnings or infractions; removal of privileges; temporay suspension; permanent banishment.

8. Only characters of age may apply for an Animagi. Otherwise, being an Animagi is forbidden. All characters MUST be completely human. In rare situations, we do bend this rule, but don't hold your breath; it's extremely rare.

9. Power Playing and God Modding will not be tolerated. Power Playing is role playing something too powerful for your character's level (such as a second-year manipulating the weather); God Modding is controlling a character that doesn't belong to you, such as what they say or reply to your character.

10. Applicants are not to PM members of the forum staff to request reviews or approvals for their applications.

11. If you find a post on the RPG Forum that violates any of these rules, please do not respond to them. That will only encourage the violation(s). The best thing you can do if you find a rule violation is by reporting the post to the Moderators and Administrators. There is a Report This Post button on every post. Click that button and follow the instructions from there.

Rebirth Characters Terms of Service

By joining Rebirth, you agree to these terms of service regarding your characters:

Ultimate Hogwarts: The Rebirth reserves the right to reference any character by name, including their history, personality, and family in its role plays. For the sake of the plot, this rule remains valid should you ever terminate your membership with Rebirth or be banished from Rebirth. Rebirth will not edit your original character or posts without your permission in any way unless it violates the RPG Rules and/or Forum Rules and Terms of Service (which are subject to change without notice).

THE REBIRTH STAFF RESERVES THE RIGHT TO BANISH ANY MEMBER/USER FROM THE ULTIMATE HOGWARTS WEBSITES FOR ANY REASON THEY SEE FIT. THIS REMAINS TRUE WHETHER OR NOT YOU HAVE VIOLATED THE ABOVE RULES. THESE RULES AND TERMS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.
